It's a practical, structured place to help you move from an idea in your head to a real-world business, one intentional step at a time.

Before building my own businesses, I spent years working inside global organisations across people, operations and organisational change, partnering with senior leaders and seeing first-hand how decisions, systems and businesses actually work in an ever-changing world.
That experience taught me a lot.
But starting something of my own taught me something else entirely.
Being experienced in business doesn't automatically mean you know how to build a business from scratch.
Suddenly, I was the person making every decision.
What should I build?
Who is it really for?
Is the idea commercially viable?
How do I price it?
How do I find customers?
Which platform should I use?
What should I spend money on now, and what can wait?
And perhaps the hardest question:
How do I know whether I'm actually making progress?
I realised there was an enormous gap between wanting to build something and having a clear, practical path for doing it. So I started building one.
There Was Nothing Written for the Woman I Was Becoming.
I wasn't starting with nothing. I had professional experience, commercial awareness, transferable skills and quite a lot of mileage left in me. But I was new to this. And so much of the business advice I found seemed to be built around:
Quick launch, think later.
Grow quickly.
Get rich overnight.
Often it came from people at a very different stage of life from mine, building with different priorities, different pressures and a different definition of what success needed to look like.
I wasn't looking to race anyone.
I wanted to build something meaningful, commercially sound and sustainable, and I was prepared to take a more deliberate route to get there. I wanted something that recognised experience while still acknowledging that building your own business for the first time means learning an entirely new set of things.
Something for the capable person standing at the beginning, thinking:
I know I can do this. I just need a map.
So I started building one. And that became Founders Quill.
A Few Steps Ahead. Not on the Mountain Top Yet.
I'm not writing from the summit looking down.
I'm building too.
I'm testing ideas, creating products, figuring out visibility, learning what works, getting things wrong, making better decisions and discovering that some of the things we're told about building a business are much simpler, and some much harder, than they first appear.
Founders Quill turns those lessons, alongside research and real business principles, into practical guidance you can use.
Not: "Here's what I did ten years ago."
But: "Here's what I've found out. Here's what helped. Here's what you need to think about before you make your own decision."
